Venmar - HEPA 4000 ERV Energy Recovery Ventilator
HEPA = High Efficiency Particulate Air

is the ultimate system for optimal indoor air quality. It is ideal for warmer climates and high-humidity environments. (Hot/dry and hot/humid climates) Even though the Hepa 4000 (ERV) is suitable for cooler climates, it is usually associated with warmer climate homes where humidity control is important. The ERV recovers heat; however, it also recuperates the energy trapped in moisture, which greatly improves the overall recovery efficiency.
Its unique energy recovery core extracts outdoor humidity during the air-conditioning season and transfers it, in part, to the contaminated air leaving your home, thereby preventing the humidity outside from getting inside. The process is reversed during cool seasons to replace moisture loss due to home heating.
With its top quality filtration and its energy recovery this unit will provide home fresh healthy air and reduce ventilation costs. The HEPA system emphasis is on providing filtration to the highest possible level.
Standard features on all models : True HEPA filter included with each unit (eliminates 99.97% of particles at 0.3 micron); Two pre-filters included.
The HEPA 4000 system is controlled through a wall-mounted electronic control system that provide normal, boost and re circulation modes as well as filter maintenance and fresh air indicators.
HEPA 4000 ERV - How Does It Work?
- Stale air from the house is drawn into the unit.
- A portion of the stale air is exhausted to the outside, carrying out the excess humidity coming from the outside air.
- The stale air is then exhausted to the outside.
- In humid climates and air conditioned homes, when it is more humid outside than inside, the ERV limits the amount of moisture coming into your home.
- In dry climates and humidified homes, when the humidity level is reversed, the ERV limits the amount of moisture expelled from your home.
- The fresh air from outside is blended with interior air which provides an approximately 40% fresh air mix. This airflow then goes through the pre filter (catching the bigger particles) and the HEPA filter, which catches up to 99.97% of 0.3 microns and larger size particles.
- The HEPA standard of filtration is the standard used in hospital operating theatres and clean rooms. This will trap airborne allergens such as pollen, dust, mould, bacteria, etc
- Fresh filtered air, with an appropriate level of moisture, is then distributed throughout the house.
Main features:
- Recovers heating and cooling.
- Combines HEPA filtration and ventilation.
- Filters outside fresh air.
- Increases energy efficiency.
- Controls humidity and either reduces or increases moisture levels to the required level.
- Reduces the symptoms associated with respiratory problems and allergies.
- This model has an energy recovery core that controls moisture and heat, and is suitable for warmer climates where humidity control is important.
- This unit can also be used for cooler climates.
