Venmar - DUO ERV Energy Recovery Ventilator:

is ideal for warmer climates and high-humidity environments. These are hot/dry and hot/humid climates. Besides exchanging polluted indoor air for a continuous supply of fresh outdoor air, it is specifically designed to help retain heat in cold climates and reduce the load on cooling systems in warm climates. A choice of filters are available that are effective up to to 90% at 1 micron.
The AVS Duo system is controlled through a wall-mounted electronic control system that provide normal, boost and re circulation modes as well as filter maintenance and fresh air indicators.
Duo ERV - How Does It Work?
- Fresh air from outside of the house is drawn into the unit and filtered.
- Stale air from the house is drawn into the unit, and transfers its heat to the fresh incoming air. This recovers upto 81% of the heat from the stale air.
- The stale air is then exhausted to the outside.
- In humid climates and air-conditioned homes, when it is more humid outside than inside, the energy recovery ventilator (ERV) limits the amount of moisture entering your home.
- In dry climates where humidification is needed for comfort and health, the energy recovery ventilator (ERV) limits the mount of moisture expelled from your home.
- The fresh filtered air, with heat recovery and the appropriate amount of moisture, is then distributed throughout the house.
Main features:
- Recovers heating and cooling.
- Combines filtration and ventilation.
- Filters outside fresh air.
- Optimizes energy efficiency.
- Controls humidity and either reduces or increases moisture levels to the required level.
- Reduces the symptoms associated with respiratory problems and allergies.
- This model has an energy recovery wheel that controls moisture and heat, and is suitable for warmer climates where humidity control is important.
- This unit can also be used for cooler climates.
